This is an original bronze completed in August 2023. Reunion is about connection with self and other in time. Reunions are all about time, but here with a Möbius Strip as a base, time collapses upon itself, frozen in bronze. It’s love, devotion, and abstraction taken shape. I produced the original in clay and worked with Bastrop’s Pyrology to reproduce this work in metal. Together we developed a semi-archival patina using cobalt, cupric nitrate and ferric acid. 26H x 17W x 12D inches.
